Loading the Lorries

Albany removals provides lorries of 3.5 tonnes and 18 tonnes. These are specialist removal lorries with purpose-built tie rails for securing the content of a house. We bring with us carpet runners to keep floors clean, specialist furniture blankets to protect wardrobes, tables, chairs etc. A variety of sofa and armchair covers to fit different sized sofas are provided. These are padded and have securing straps to ensure a snug fit. This protects the fabric as it is moved into the lorry and through narrow passageways. Mattress bags are also used to keep your mattress clean and dry. Specialist wardrobe boxes keep hanging-clothes, crease free and clean. They are upright and strong enough prevent your clothes getting crushed. They are also easier to unpack in your new home. Fragile, soft and awkward items to load, are loaded first, onto a deep shelf space over the cabin seats, in the loading section of the van. Next the heavy items are loaded and secured with straps to avoid movement in transit. Remember they will be covered to protect the surfaces too. The next stage is usually the boxes.
